Debating

On Thursday, 6th May, the Epping Secondary College Debating Team participated in the second debate of the year. Nathaniel O’Sullivan, Abby Midgley and Cody Ryan took on the speaker roles for the debate. Jordan and Jermaine Pungatara attended on the evening to support the team. Ellie McLauchlan, Ira Alyanna Samson and Benjamin Latimer also assisted the team in the planning stage during the lunch time debating meetings. The team worked collaboratively to come up with sophisticated arguments on the affirmative side of the topic ‘Animal testing should be banned’. Unfortunately, the team did not win the debate this time but received some useful feedback that they will take on board for our future debates. The next debate is fast approaching and will take place on Thursday, 20th May. Wish the team luck!
