The Inter girls’ netball team played 6 matches on the day, displaying some fantastic skills and sportsmanship. They won 4 of their games but unfortunately lost 2 games and therefore, will not progress on to the next round.
Inter & Senior Badminton
Both the boys’ and girls’ badminton teams played some fantastic badminton. The skill level was of a high standard with some great shots being played. Both the boys’ and girls’ teams won the tournament and will progress on to the NMR round on Thursday 5th August.
Inter Boys’ Soccer
The Inter boys’ soccer team started the day with two wins over Mill Park and The Lakes, taking them through to the semi-finals. They played a great game in the semis but unfortunately lost and will not progress on to the next round.
Inter Boys’ Footy
The boys’ footy team had some tough games on the day. They made some brave tackles and took some awesome marks but unfortunately finished 3rd and will not progress on to the NMR round.
Division Cross Country
Wow, what a brilliant day for the Division Cross Country with the sun shining. All students on the day ran a 3km run unless they were in the boys 16 – 20 category where they ran a 5km run. The run has a few hills along the way making it a fantastic but hard course to run. On the day 14 students ran the course from Epping and 10 have made it through to the next round on Wednesday, 23rd June. We also had a few students finish in the top 3 and receive a ribbon on the day. Those students were:
Stephanie Jacobson 1st place
Yaman Almadani 2nd place
Jayden Day 3rd place & Bridie Groves 3rd place
Senior Boys’ Footy
On a very cold and wet Tuesday morning the boys made their way to Epping Reserve to play some tough footy. A couple of super goals and great play on the day enabled the boys to win 2 of their games. Unfortunately, they did lose 2 games so they will not progress on to the next round.
Senior Girls’ Netball
The senior girls’ netball team had a very competitive day. They won 3 games and lost 1 narrowly missing out on progressing to NMR. After leading the entire game they lost in the last few minutes to Hazel Glen 22-19. They did however beat Mernda, Mill Park and Whittlesea convincingly, playing some impressive netball.
Senior Boys’ Soccer
The senior boys’ soccer had a fantastic day’s play beating Mill Park 4-3, Hazel Glen 20-0 and drawing to Thomastown 0-0. They secured top spot on the day and are now successfully through to NMR next term. Well done boys!
Congratulations to all the students who have represented the school so well in all the different events. Good luck to those who will be playing in the next few weeks, keep up the terrific work!
