~ Do all that you do with love ~

Dear Parents and Friends of St Therese's Primary School,

The month of May for the Catholic Church is known as the month of Mary.  Mary, mother of Jesus, demonstrates unwavering faith and love as she tries to understand her son’s life journey. I hope that all families enjoyed time together over the weekend and could reflect on the big job mothers and caregivers do to nurture their families. Please read the information on the Deputy Principal page of this newsletter for photos and a report of the Mother's Day celebrations held at St Therese's School last week.

It is that time of year again when we survey parents, staff and students on the operations of the school. Surveys have been sent out to randomly selected families to complete. If your child brings home an Insight SRC envelope, please complete it by Friday May 13. Unfortunately, if the survey is returned after Friday we are unable to include it in our data collection.

SCHOOL TV

I am happy to announce that St Therese's School has become a member of School TV.

Today parents face a multitude of modern day challenges in raising happy, well and resilient young people. Whilst there is a great deal of information available, this can often be confusing and overwhelming for parents looking for guidance. SchoolTV addresses this as a new online resource designed to empower you as parents with credible and sound information with realistic, practical ongoing support strategies.

Please click on the button to go to the webpage for our school.

In the newsletter and on our Facebook page you will find references to resources that may be of interest to you or you can browse all topics by clicking on All Editions at the top of the screen. This is a fantastic resource and is completely free for families to access.

FACEBOOK

St Therese's Facebook page is now up and running. This page will be used to promote events and to market our beautiful school.

I have been informed that the shortlisting for the new Principal is occurring this week. There is a strong pool of applicants and interviews will take place next week. We should know who the new principal will be within the next fortnight. Once this has been determined we will be given a date for the transition of the new principal to St Therese's and myself to St Agatha's. I will keep you posted.

CROSS COUNTRY

Congratulations to all the students who took part in the Cross Country event held last week. Mr Sanchez informed me that it was tough competition and there were 10 other schools involved. Well done to Agostino who came second overall and will go on to the next event. We wish him all the best!

Have a wonderful week.
