Round 4 PSA Wrap-Up

v Aquinas College

The first meeting between of the winter season took place between Trinity and Aquinas last week. It was a massive round of fixtures with large crowds attending to watch all sports at Waterford. Aquinas always presents a tough fixture and this was certainly no exception, with only Badminton and Rugby finishing with a win at 1st level. The traditional derby round is also played for the CBC Perth Cup which Aquinas won 28 games to 20 games.

Well done to the senior Badminton teams who took out the clean sweep for the round, the Year 7 soccer teams who continue to display tremendous talent to win all of their games convincingly, and to the 10A Football team who were our team of the week. After giving up 3 goals in the first 6 minutes, they fought the game out superbly to win by 7 points.

Round 5

v Hale School

This weeks fixtures are away against Hale School. This is also the annual indigenous round for the Football team, who will wear our Indigenous jumpers and includes a pre-game presentation. It also promises to be an exciting game of 1sts Rugby, as the top two teams from last year face off once again.

Strength and Conditioning Centre

Fantastic news was shared this week from our Strength and Conditioning crew – after having only 320 students use the gym last year, this week we hit a new milestone with 500 students using the gym so far this year... and we haven’t reached the halfway point of 2022! This is due to our hard working S&C trainers Isaac, Keith, and the rest of the PerformHQ team. Thank you also the teachers and coaches who continue to encourage the boys to attend the gym even just once a week to improve their strength and conditioning.

The Strength and Conditioning Centre is open for any student to use from Year 7-12. It is open every day during the week from 6.45-8am, and 3.15-4.30pm every Monday to Thursday afternoon. No sign-up is necessary. The trainers will provide all new students with knowledge and programs to suit their needs.
