The Year 12 formal was held Friday 29th April and our students and staff had a wonderful evening. Students dressed to impress and danced the night away with enthusiasm. Thank you to the Year 12 team for the organisation that went into the event and to the year 12 students involved in creating the student video for the evening. Photographs of the evening will become available shortly and communicated via Compass to students. The final week of term saw year 12 students on camp at The Summit. This was a great way to end the term and bond as a cohort. The Summit have written their reflections on our camp on their blog (https://www.thesummit.net.au/single-post/parkdale-secondary-college-blog). I’d like to congratulate students on the way in which they conducted themselves during these events.
Year 10 and 11 students have received their timetable and protocols for mid-year examinations. These run week 6 and 7 this term. Sessions will be held during Learning Journeys and VCE program to assist in preparing for these examinations and students should be allocating time in the lead up to examinations to revise and study work from across the semester. This is valuable practice for year 12, and students are encouraged to try various approaches to study to see what works best for them and the subjects they are undertaking.
Year 10 Work Experience is 14 June – 17 June. This is the week following the examination period. Students need to ensure that all paperwork has been submitted and arrangements complete.
