Residential Manager

Welcome Back!

What a great start to the year! A big welcome to all our new students and parents and thank you for entrusting your children to us here at Cunderdin Ag.  We had an amazing weekend settling our Year 11’s into College life and I haven’t laughed so much for some time. What a great group of young adults. Despite the heat we swam, talked, played basketball, met new friends, ate yummy food and generally had a ball.

The Student Councillors showed fantastic leadership in supporting staff to ensure all our new boarders are aware of all the information required to make the best of their Year 11 and 12 Cunderdin Ag experience. I am very proud of their contribution to the Induction weekend.

Weekend Pickup - All parents are asked to park out the front of the Rec Centre and not to enter the dormitories. Students will sign themselves out with the help of the Residential Supervisors.

Dining Hall Schedule

Please note that we will be facilitating split dining as of next week to promote social distancing. These posters are up on display for students.

Weekend Leisure Activities

This weekend we are heading to Midland Shopping centre on Saturday to shop, get haircuts if required and go to the movies. Sunday will be Northam pool for the huge slides and to keep cool.

A special thank you to all parents who ensured their children did not bring aerosols to the College. Unfortunately when I provided an amnesty before consequences we had many, many aerosols handed in. As the Residential Manager, I cannot emphasise enough how serious I take our asthma policy. This year we have a record number of students who have asthma and it is imperative we keep them safe.  Please take our rules seriously.

We have an amnesty also for inappropriate haircuts until Monday afternoon, as well as uniforms. Many Year 12’s uniforms are too small , worn out or damaged. Please speak with your son or daughter this weekend to check on the condition of their uniforms across Class, Trades and Farm. The Co-op can be contacted on 9635 1304 to order new ones ASAP.

I apologise that the rollover to REACH has not been as quick and easy for some parents this week. We shall endeavour to have the glitches sorted by the weekend.

Next week we are celebrating Chinese New Year with a Chinese feast. We shall encourage dress ups with prizes for best dressed and lots of fortune cookies!!

Please don’t hesitate to call the Residential Supervisors or myself should have any queries about boarding here at our wonderful College.
