Intra-school Cross Country
What a spot on day we had for Cross Country last week. With so much on it seems longer than a week ago that our Prep to Grade 6 students took on their relevant course to earn points for their house. It was terrific to see everyone dressed up and coming in the spirit of the day. Additional to this was the amazing supporter turn out the whole morning through. Thank you to those who were able to come along and support our runners on the day.
One record was broken on the day and will be presented to the recipient alongside the winning house as the end of term assembly next week.
A big shout out goes to our wonderful parent volunteers, SEDA, our Sports Captains and the school staff for making the day such a pleasure and success!

District Cross Country
Congratulation to the following students, Bella A, Hunter A, Flynn B, Indi D, Andrew G, Matilda J, Quinn M, Ella M, Matthew O, Jy P, Duke P, Milan P, Charlotte R, Mila S, Conal R, Thomas S, Keenan S, Scarlett T, Zahra T, Ryley V, Cyrus W, Azalea W, Tessa W, Felix W, who have qualified for the Buninyong Primary School District Cross Country team. This will take place at Lake Wendouree on Wednesday, 8 May, 2019.
Further information and permission notes will be sent to students closer to the date.
Encouragement Swim Meet
A huge congratulations to all the students who took part in last week’s Encouragement Swim Meet.
We are all very proud of our younger students for taking part.
Regional Swimming
What a day for our five regional swimmers to be taking to the pool last Friday! 38 degrees and a fabulous atmosphere at Horsham’s Aquatic Centre.
Matt S, Will B, Meg H, Macey M and Tri T all represented our school at last week’s Greater Western Region Primary Swim Meet and did a sensational job in the pool. A big congratulations to all our swimmers for their efforts and commitment to the day!
Active April
Premier’s Active April encourages Victorian families to get healthy and active by participating in 30 minutes of physical activity a day for the month of April and beyond. Jump on board and support our school. Register online and link up to the Buninyong Primary School group (buninyong-primary-school).

Ballarat Minors Lunchtime Clinics
A reminder that the Ballarat Minor Basketball Clinics will be running every week until the end of term. Grade P-2 are on Mondays (see schedule below)
Prep – 2 mixed – Monday 1/4
Grade 3-6’s will continue to run each Thursday until the end of term. If your child is interested in attending, please remind them on the day and for them to bring appropriate footwear
BDSA Soccer Clinics
Preps to Grade 4’s will be spoiled with some special Soccer clinics run during their P.E. lessons in Week 9 + 10 as part of the Ballarat District Soccer Associations drive to encourage children to take part in soccer. A big thank you to Kelly Sports for providing the program to us.
P.E. Shoes
A reminder that students need to have clean, dry sports shoes for P.E. We recommend bringing a spare pair to school to ensure maximum participation in class. To find out when your child has P.E., please check your Compass portal.
