Scotsburn
School Fete
What a great success the fete was. A huge thank you to the many parents and students who volunteered their time on our stalls. Community events such as these are never quite as successful without the support of everyone. The willingness of so many of you to go over and beyond was greatly appreciated. Our thanks also to the Plier family who generously donated the wood. We plan to use our share of the profits to build an enclosed BBQ area near the flagpole. These works are due to commence very soon.
Collaborative Planning Days
Thanks to everyone for your flexibility with our collaborative planning days this week. It was great to see the students enthusiastically engage with the learning opportunities and also with the students from the Buninyong campus.
Hansel & Gretel
The SC1 students thoroughly enjoyed last Wednesday’s excursion to the Hansel and Gretel play at Buninyong Town Hall. The fractured fairy tale captured the audience with singing, movement and much laughter! At the end, students had the opportunity to meet the stars of the pantomime. This was a wonderful opportunity for students and I am sure they will remember the play with great fondness!

Toilet Update
We now have some confirmed dates for the works that are to be done on our toilets. A set of portable toilets will be on site for student use during this time. The timeline for works is as follows:
- March 27 – Contractors arrive and put up temporary fencing.
- March 30 – Tree trimmed next to the Old Building
- March 30 & 31 (weekend) – asbestos is removed…..please ensure that you keep away from the campus over this weekend.
- April 1-5 – Toilets demolished and removed.
All going well, the contractors will then get the slab poured the following week and the toilets in place the week after. So all going well, the new toilets will be ready for use at the start of term 2.
Raising money for Maphatso
Jack Conroy (SC2) is seeking the support of all Scotsburn Campus students on Thursday 4th April. Jack is raising money to support the people of Maphatso and has organised a porridge morning. If you would like to participate, please bring along a gold coin donation on Thursday 4th April. Jack will then present the money raised to Mrs Bomitali at our final assembly for Term 1. Thanks in advance for your support.

Axel will be selling Zooper Doopers this Thursday for $1.

If you have any food scraps over the break, our chooks would love them if you are in the area. Hopefully we also get enough rain over the break to keep our plants ticking along.
