Surf it up!

Last term our Outdoor Ed class went surfing. We had so much fun and got to do some cool tricks on the boards. Over the weeks we learnt a lot about the swell, rips and marine life. Once, we saw some stingrays go by. It was an amazing time throughout the 10 weeks and we also had some amazing photographers; Katie and Mrs Kohlschein. We all caught some great wave and had some great teachers to help us. - by Nazareth Kuhl

Overall I had a fantastic time surfing. It was great experience and I learnt so much. Each day I learnt something new; one day about how to get up on the board, the next how to fall off. Being out on the surf was so stunning, chilling on the board wave after wave and taking in the fresh breeze from the ocean. I was even lucky enough to see a stingray and a sea cucumber. It was such an experience and something I'll treasure and never forget. Unfortunately on the last day I was injured (plot twist) and unable to participate, so I brought my camera along and did some photography with Mr Price's permission. Walking along the beach was so relaxing and peaceful and I even managed to capture some beautiful photos of seagulls in flight. I love photography and to have the experience to take shots at the beach was so inspirational. Thank you to ECCS and Mr Price for giving me this incredible experience.
