Camps, Sporting Events, Excursions Funding (CSEF)

CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school trips, camps and sporting activities.  If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF. A special consideration  category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families. The allowance is paid to the school to use towards expense relating

to camps, excursions or sporting activities for the benefit of your child.

The annual CSEF payment per eligible primary school aged student is $125.

The annual CSEF payment per eligible secondary school aged student is $225.

HOW TO APPLY?

CSEF application forms are available on Compass.  To access them, please click on the Community (people) Icon \ School Documentation \ Parent Information \ CSEF

Please note:

  • If you applied for CSEF at your child’s former school, you will need to complete a new application for Armstrong Creek School
  • If you applied in 2018 at Armstrong Creek School, you do not need to complete another application

Please contact the office if you are unsure about the process or your eligibility status.

Paying Essential Education Items

Families were emailed Statements from the school outlining their child’s Student Essential Learning Items charges at the beginning of February.  These charges can be paid via bPay and payment plans are also available.

Our initiative is to remain a “cash free” environment and reduce the number of banking software (EFTPOS machine) on site.   This means that we are unable to process any payments at school so please do not send cash, cheques or credit card details into school with your child.

Financial Hardship

If you are struggling to meet the costs of school uniforms, shoes and text books for your children, you may be eligible to receive these free or at a discount through State Schools’ Relief.

Families with children in government schools in any year level can receive help if they are facing one or more of the following:

  • Health issues resulting in serious financial difficulty
  • House fires where school clothing is lost
  • Natural disasters
  • Serious financial difficulty

Please telephone the office to make an appointment (confidential) with Kylie, our Business Manager, who will discuss with you the possibility of this additional support.
