SRC & Youth Council

 Moira Shire Youth Council (MSYC)

On Wednesday 8th May we attended a MSYC meeting at the Senior Citizens Centre in Cobram. The main topic of the meeting was leadership and self-care/resilience.

We talked about different leadership styles, the qualities that make a good leader and looked at how emotional intelligence and temperament impact our behaviour and motivation.

We also did some group activities and discussed relevant youth and town issues. Our next meeting will be held at a youth centre in Melbourne where we will participate in various youth workshops.

Our MSYS representatives attended a youth meeting, which focused on supporting their leadership and communication skills.  Students are pictured above with Cr Gary Cleveland.
