Running Colour and welcome picnic 

Friday 22nd February starting at 4pm. 

Donations can be made online at

Students will need to wear a white T shirt sunglasses or eye protection . Bright socks and accessories can also add to the spectacle and atmosphere. 

As it is a casual clothes day you can come dressed in your gear at the start of the day. 

Running colour wristbands are available for sale for $2. 

The Course 

Students will start on the asphalt area. 

THE FIRST LAP WILL BE A WALKING LAP.

Students will start in their grade groups starting with Year 5 then Year 4, Year 3, Year 2, Year 1, and then Foundation students will start with year 6  buddies. Please note that not all buddies will be in attendance due to sporting commitments. 

 

Students will move down to the oval via the quiet area. They will look for their teachers who will be standing next to their year level flags. 

The teachers will throw color onto the T shirts. 

The students will move through the course and out the Cheltenham Rd gate onto Bayview Cres. 

Parents will be course marshals on Bayview Cres. Students will enter the gate on the corner of Bayview crescent near the vegie patches. and continue back to their teachers for some more colour on the oval. 

Camp Australia 

Students attending after school care can compete in the Running Color event. Sarah is collecting a list of students who would like to complete the walk but who will be at Camp Australia after school. 

Teachers will  collect students and return them to Camp Australia after the event at 5pm. You need to make sure that Sarah has parent  permission to attend the event. 

Parent Helpers 

We are looking for parent helpers to help marshall students on the course. Please see Jayne Timms who will issue with a flouro vest and instructions. 

We would also like some parents to help with the pack up at the conclusion of the night. 

Welcome Picnic 

When arriving for the event set up your picnic in the area designated by the flags. Eg Foundation parents. This is to ensure you have the opportunity to meet parents from your child's year level. 

There will be some items to purchase including Zooper doopas, BBQ sausages and bags of lollies. 

BYO chairs picnic rugs, drinks and food. 

There will be an abundance of music  colourful children  and good fun. 

Safety 

The powder used  is safe, non-toxic, gluten free and completely washable! The powder is a non-toxic, non-rash-inducing colored corn starch. For your safety  it has been tested for health and flammability. Safety data sheets are available at the office.
