Year 7 

The first week in Year Seven has been an exciting time as students begin their time at 

St Bede’s and their journey through secondary school. Commencing with an Orientation Day on Friday January 29, our Year Sevens have now completed their first week of secondary school and have adapted well to changes in routines and the expectations of secondary school.

Our Year Seven Homeroom Team have been instrumental in assisting our Year Seven students with all they have achieved so far. The Year Seven team is made up of outstanding educators from an array of learning areas at the College who are committed to supporting students during this important time.

Year Seven will provide great opportunities for students to join the various groups, clubs and teams on offer at the College. This is a great way to take part in something that students love doing and to make new friends.

Our Year Seven Camp program commenced last week with 7.6 attending the College property at Phillip Island for four days. Activities included nature walks, snorkelling, body boarding, fishing and lots of time to get to know new classmates and teachers. It has been most encouraging to see so many Year Seven students becoming involved in activities on offer at the College. Many Year Sevens have attended ACC Athletics and Swimming training and many more are eager to commence music lessons, training band, public speaking and school production auditions. The enthusiasm shown in all of these areas in the early stages of the year is a very positive sign of things to come.

I sincerely hope that all Year Seven students have an enjoyable start to their secondary school journey and I look forward to working in partnership with all members of our College community to make this happen.
