State Lifesaving Championships

On the weekend of 20 to 21 March, Year 8 student Hayden Mellow competed in the State Lifesaving Championships in Lorne. He had a wonderfully successful weekend and was rewarded for all his hard work and training. 

Conditions were reportedly very tough on the day, but Hayden achieved 2nd place in the individual board race and 3rd in iron man (Board, Swim, Run). He finished top five in every individual event which was his goal. Congratulations Hayden! 

He and Year 9 student Greta Saville will be heading to Queensland for the Australian Lifesaving Championships in April, and we wish them both all the best!
