Science Week - August 12-20

Next week is the 2023 National Science Week. The theme this year is Innovation: Powering Future Industries. The theme connects to our Inquiry theme this term of Curiosity and Discovery. Next week students will explore the theme in class through the curriculum focus of:

  • Science as a Human Endeavour
  • Chemical Sciences
  • Physical Sciences
  • Earth and Space Sciences, and
  • Biological Sciences.

At St Joseph's, we encourage students to always be curious about their world and explore science through our themes and programs, such as kitchen garden, Sea is our best friend, Cafe and S.T.E.M design.

We look forward to sharing some of the amazing science learning students have engaged in at the end of term in an Inquiry Learning showcase.

Book Fair Coming Soon!

Our Book Fair is arriving this Friday ready to go on sale next Monday. We will have current fiction and non fiction books, as well as other great items on sale. All students will have an opportunity to explore the books and make wish lists for home or our school library. All of the proceeds from our Book Fair go to purchasing new books for our classrooms and library.
