B9 GIRLs
Classroom Makeover Task
Thank you to everyone who very kindly donated to us. We have now finished our project and have been using all the donations in the classroom.
Camp
At the end of Term 1, B9G went on a splendid camp. Located in the tranquil mountains of Jumbuk Park. We did various activities such as trekking, this was quite tiring but, it was worth the sweat, the scenery was genuinely breathtaking. Additionally, we were surprised by a guest speech of the Aboriginal committee which was then followed by a dot painting session ran by the committee,
we learned about the culture and history of Indigenous Australians in this educational session with them. To summarise this camp was really needed, it gave us the privilege to socialise with each other and create bonds, while embracing the essence of the true beauty of nature.

B9G Composting
This week, B9G were involved in an incursion run by the City of Casey to teach us about composting and ways we can compost at school. Through the food tech and canteen, we will now start to compost fruit and vegetable scraps, the B9G class will also help out with the composting process by shredding paper from our white paper bins in order to help in the composting process. We hope by next year that we can have several compost bins around the school and we can use that compost in various garden spaces around the school.
