UNIFORMS
We have had some very typical Melbourne weather of late; a really mixed bag of sun, wind and rain! Please continue to ensure that your child/children are dressed in the correct school uniform.
Of course, we understand that children grow and clothing/shoes become worn. If your child is out of school uniform temporarily, please inform their class teacher.
Our uniform details are listed below:

GATE OPENING TIMES
Please note that our school gates will be opening a little later from Monday of next week. When reviewing our recent Emergency drill, we noted that it was a little challenging to accurately identify how many people were onsite.
As such, our gates will now be opening at 2:55pm which is closer to our finishing time. We kindly ask that you do not enter the playground until 3pm.
Should you need to arrive earlier, please buzz through to the office for us to open the gate for you.
Many thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
TRADING CARDS
We are blessed to have such amazing grounds and play facilities at St Augustine’s. In addition to our oval, basketball court, newcombe court, Fiona’s place, plaza and garden, the students are also able to attend a range of lunch clubs over the week. These include, but are not limited to: knitting, mindfulness, gardening and art.
Trading cards are great fun too and we know that children love to collect these! However, we ask that these are not brought to school for trading. Thank you for continuing to support our school rules to ensure that all our students enjoy their play times.
Book week is almost upon us!

Meet our new SRC reps!
Art and garden club is a lunchtime club that offers you the chance to be able to spend time in the garden.
Last week in the garden we went and we painted sticks and other items from around the garden to have some fun with at lunch time. Students created wands and other creations out of these items they collected.
If you are not interested in gardening, you can always do one of the following:
Thank you to Esther for filling in for Sandy last week and opening up the garden.
We hope to see you stop by the next time the garden is open!

Just a friendly reminder to please advise the school of student absences at your earliest convenience, either via email or the absence line. When leaving a message on the absence line, please include your name, the students name and classroom, along with the reason for the absence.
If your student arrives at school after the music has stopped playing, they will need to sign in at the office. We are happy to assist you and your children at the office with this.
This prevents us from sending you a clarification text. If you have a senior student please remind them they must come via the office to let us know they have arrived at school.
Extended absences for example holidays during term time need to be communicated with our principal, Mrs. Carrie Rodda. Please email her directly: principal@safranksth.catholic.edu.au
