Message from our
Campus Principal
Welcome back to all members of our school community.
This time last year I welcomed 80 new Year 7 students, this year I am excited to welcome 97 new Year 7s! Experience shows us that this number will continue to grow.
We also have several new students joining us in Years 8, 9 and 10. I extend a warm welcome to you all.
The year has kicked off with a positive start with students quickly settling into the rhythm and routine of school.
We have several new staff joining us at Churchill Campus this year.
Matt Suter is leading the Year 9 team and will be teaching Food Technology and PE.
John De Souza joins the Year 9 team teaching English, TR@K and Information Technology
Andy Wright will be joining the Year 8 team taking Science, Maths and TR@K classes.
Jack Hallson joins our Year 7 team teaching Maths and Science
Zac Cantrill – joins us in the Tutor program
Isaac Lynch-Berends – returns to Churchill in the Tutor program
Claire Dent – working in our front office in Administration
Churchill Campus has a team structure to support students with their academic and social growth. Each year level is led by a Team Leader who is supported by a team of staff who predominantly teach students in that year level. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the relevant team leader:
Year 7 – Darren Campbell
Year 8 – Karen Anders
Year 9 – Matt Suter
Year 10 – Todd Miller
Our student welfare team, consisting of Selena Gray working together with our advocates; Tom Kindellan, Paula Woodland, Robin Fitzpatrick, Harry Owens and Angela Knersch, and all support our Year level teams to support our students.
School photos were taken on the morning of Thursday 10th of February. All families have been provided with an Access Key via compass to place online orders.
It is important for us to know who is in the school at any given time so I ask that all visitors report to the General Office and not go directly to other buildings. Our office staff will assist you with your enquiry. If you need to collect your child early, our office staff will arrange for them to come to you in the General Office foyer.
Before school, active supervision is maintained near the front gate from 8.05 am and then after school until 3.10 at the gate on Northways Road and 3.25 in the bus bay
Outside of these hours, school staff will not be available for general supervision of students.
We hope to see all our families at the BBQ this Thursday. This is an informal catch-up with staff. We really enjoy our Welcome BBQ as it gives us an opportunity to chat with you and your child.
Please see the attached flyer in school news for more information.
