Take note

We have put together a list of friendly reminders to help make your child's transition back to school is a safe and successful one.

School road safety

As an inner-city school, awareness of parking and traffic contributes to creating a safer environment for all members of our community.

With this in mind, we ask that parents and carers always follow the College's procedures for dropping off and picking up children from school. Find our traffic safety tips on our website here

In particular, we ask for your ongoing support and assistance with the following:

  • Please do not use driveways to pull into to drop students off—neither school driveways nor our neighbours'.
  • Please do not park in the Kiss and Go zone. This space is designated for drop-off and pick-up only.
  • Please do not double park. You may need to drive around the block to get the appropriate spot at the right time. Older students can be dropped at adjacent blocks and walk to the College, and are reminded to cross at the lights.
  • Please do not stop in a No Stopping zone for any reason. A stopped vehicle could obstruct visibility of other drivers and pedestrians and increase the likelihood of an accident.

Please also remember that Harrington Street is a 'no standing' zone and parking officers conduct random checks the school day.

Bus transport

See the College website here for information on the school bus routes and services available for your area. For the most up-to-date information about bus services, please contact the bus companies directly.

Murphy's Cafe

The College Café, Murphy's, operates Monday to Friday for breakfast, recess and lunch from 7.30am to 1.30pm.

Café Manager, Phil Shanny provides healthy, delicious and nutritious food – all made onsite with sustainable packaging, free-range eggs and locally sourced ingredients. Click here to read more about our Café.

Fresh rice paper rolls, Reuben paninis, tacos, quiche slices and burgers are just some of the mouth-watering goodies you can tuck into here at St Mary's in Term 1.

Let us serve you!

With our Café open early from 7.30am, we warmly invite our parents and carers to stop by and say hello.

Why not grab a barista-made coffee during school drop off or a tasty bite to fuel your work day?
