Beginning of Year Mass
We would like to thank all families that came to our beginning of year Mass last week.
It was a beautiful way to begin our year together as a community.
Shrove Tuesday
Shrove Tuesday is next week. It’s a day that is well recognised as Pancake Day and it is the traditional feast day before the start of Lent on Ash Wednesday. On Pancake Day, we are inviting all families to join us from 7:45am for our very special Pancake Morning. Staff will be cooking and serving pancakes for everyone to enjoy! We hope to see you at this special event.
Ash Wednesday
On Wednesday next week, we will be attending Mass with our Parish community at 10am. All of our school community will receive ashes to mark the beginning of their Lenten journey.
As in previous years, during Lent, we will also celebrate our Caritas Fridays, beginning on March 10th. These days are an opportunity for each of our year levels to be creative with ways that we can raise money for Caritas. Caritas is the international aid and development agency of the Australian Catholic Church, and is driven by social justice and the dignity of every person. Students are invited to donate to the appeal through the Project Compassion Boxes available in their classroom.
Information for the first two Caritas Fridays events. Students can bring a gold coin if participating.
