Guyra Show 2023

Guyra Show Success at St Mary’s
Last week, the students at St Mary of the Angels were busily creating some amazing artworks and interesting exhibits for the Guyra Show. The school entered a number of drawings and paintings that the students produced for the Show and received some very pleasing results. Congratulations to our students who received first, second, third and highly commended places for their work. Special recognition must go to the Year 3/4 Class who won Overall Senior Primary Champion Art Exhibit. Well done Year 3/4, you have worked very hard on your artworks! All of our students had a great time making and preparing their exhibits and had a wonderful time spotting them at the Show.

Kindergarten Cooking for the Guyra Show
Our clever kinder students made some tasty treats for the Guyra Show this year as part of their Maths program. The students made delicious animal themed iced biscuits and fairy bread shapes which they loved making and tasting in class. The whole kinder class were awarded Champion Fairy Bread Exhibitors for their entries in the Junior Cooking Section. Haidee Hope won first prize for her fairy bread shapes. Stirling Turner and Vincent Furphy teamed up to make their iced biscuits, as well as William Neill and Haidee Hope. Both of these teams came away with a second prize. Great work Kinders!!
