Treble Choir

Treble Choir is back! Open to all students in Years 7 – 9 who love singing, Treble Choir performs at the College’s senior concerts in a wide variety of choral styles. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday afternoons from 3:15 – 4:15pm with Mr Kros. All students interested in auditioning should come prepared to sing a few lines of any song on Wednesday 12 February at 3:15pm in the Gonzaga Barry Lecture Theatre (GBLT). Chamber Orchestra Auditions

All students who play violin, viola, cello or double bass are invited to audition for Chamber Orchestra, which rehearses on Wednesday mornings from 7:00 – 8:30am with Mr Kros. Interested students should sign-up for a timeslot in the Music Office and collect a short excerpt to play in the audition. See Mr Kros with any questions.

Wind and Concert Band Auditions

All Year 7s and new students to the College who play flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, French Horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba or percussion are invited to audition for Wind and Concert Band. Interested students should sign-up for a timeslot in the Music Office. See Ms Jennings with any questions.

Instrumental and Voice Lessons

Applications for enrolment in individual voice and instrumental lessons are open! Electronic application forms are available via the College website or from the Music Office.

Primary Choirs

There have been some exciting changes to the Primary Choirs for 2020. Please see the information below regarding the choirs available to students from Years 2-6.

Primary Singers – This junior choir welcomes all students in Years 2 and 3 who love to sing. Students will learn vocal and choral skills while having a lot of fun. Rehearsals take place on Thursday mornings in the MacKillop Room at 8:00am with Mrs Haydon and Mr Johnston. The first rehearsal takes place this coming Thursday 13 February at 8:00am.

Wanju Voices – This upper primary choir welcomes all students from years 4, 5 and 6. This choir will develop vocal and choral skills through a variety of genres and repertoire. Students in this choir are required to 'audition' in order to determine their position, however all students who audition are accepted. Rehearsals take place on Monday mornings in the MacKillop Room from 7:30-8:30am with Mrs Haydon and Mr Johnston. Auditions take place this coming Monday 10 February at 7:30am.

Chapel Choir – The Chapel Choir is the only College ensemble that combines students in both the primary and secondary school. All students are welcome to join this choir which rehearses with Mrs Haydon and Mr Johnston on Friday mornings at 7:30am in the Chapel, and then sings at the Community Mass at 8:00am. The Chapel Choir is also involved in College Masses and the Holy Week Concert at the end of Term One. The next rehearsal for this choir is Friday 21 February (no Community Mass on Friday 14 February).
