Camp Australia

Agnes Moeono
Camp Australia Coordinator
Every Wednesday we put our focus on tCAF which is The Camp Australia Foundation.
The Camp Australia Foundation Aim
We believe education changes lives. We believe all children should experience a positive primary education.
By 2025 we aim to positively impact the primary education experience of 1 Million children. We will do this by providing financial support to charity partners who share our beliefs. We aim to engage Camp Australia team members to provide their time and skills towards achieving our goal.
About tCAF
tCAF is our not for profit organisation. The outside school hours care programs Camp Australia provides, enables us to work with charity partners to develop exclusive programs to improve the lives of primary school children. tCAF then coordinates these programs with our charity partners enabling our whole organisation to work together and make a big impact on the children we are supporting.
In 2016 we were able to positively impact the lives of more than 77,000 primary school children through our awareness raising programs and provide support to disadvantaged children throughout Australia and overseas. We also donated more than $160,000 to our charity partners.
Program Details
Term 1
Camp Australia’s 'Welcome Program' offers a range of activities to help children and families feel ‘at home’ in each service. It also provides plenty of leadership opportunities for students.
Term 2
We support 1 project per year and develop an awareness program focused around the relevant cause. In 2017 our awareness raising program will be focused on supporting children with disabilities.
Term 3
Our program will provide awareness raising activities about indigenous culture and the literacy gap. tCAF will co-ordinate the program and dollar match an annual fundraiser to provide literacy packs to 1,000 indigenous and refugee children.
Term 4
Awareness raising program to support children in Nepal. tCAF will co-ordinate the provision of handmade gifts for 4,000 disadvantaged primary school children in Nepal.
We look forward to opening up a discussion about disability in a general way and also build understanding with the children and their families.
