Education Week

On Monday and Tuesday we welcomed a number of families to our school for a tour. It was great to see the smiling faces of children learning and classrooms alive with displays.

Since the start of term the school has been undergoing a planned maintenance upgrade. This is progressing smoothly and so far boards, cladding and some painting has been completed.

NAPLAN testing concluded last week and parents will receive reports on their students progress in September.

On Friday this week the Year 4 - 6 children will complete the Student Attitudes to School Survey. This is an annual survey that provides data to support student wellbeing, engagement, school improvement and planning in our school. As we move into the second half of the semester, teachers are beginning to finalise assessments and write children's reports. Reports will be published online on Compass. If you require a hard copy of reports please notify the school. Parents can also access reports from 2017 on Compass. If you require assistance logging onto Compass please contact the school.

Homework Club

Every Tuesday and Thursday between 15 - 20 students participate in Homework Club. Teachers and some volunteers from our community assist our children with their learning. Students complete homework, spend time reading, writing and going online to complete Reading Eggs and Mathletics activities. Snack time is also a great hit! Below are a few snaps from last week.

Missing Laptop

We always need to take care of our personal belongings but unfortunately mishaps sometimes occur. A laptop has gone missing on Tuesday afternoon from one of our school bus runs. The laptop is one purchased through the schools bring your own device program and is labelled with the students name on both the laptop and the case. The family are concerned and have informed the police, who have asked for everyone to be vigilant. If anyone has any information about the missing laptop can they please ring the school.
