Year 9 2020 Transition Program

Transition weeks for current Year 8 students.

Commencing the week of Monday 11th of November, all current Year 8 students from Wanganui Park Secondary College, McGuire College, Shepparton High School and Mooroopna Secondary College will be visiting the Mooroopna Campus for three weeks of transition.

The transition activities will take place between 11am and 12.30pm. Week 1 will consist of ‘Engagement activities’, whilst Week 2 and Week 3 will involve students in a range of classroom activities involving either Art, Science, English or Physical Education.

At the moment, all Year 8 students are being placed into Year 9 groups for the Transition weeks. These groupings are a mixture of all students from across all campuses. These are not the final groups for 2020. Further information will be forthcoming as we approach the first week of the transition program on Monday 11th November.

Elective program.

The Elective handbooks for the 2020 Year 9s are hot off the press and will be distributed early next week. On Friday 25th October all Year 8 students will be offered the opportunity to select electives through a course counselling meeting. Parents will be able to book these meetings through Xuno.

Orientation Day Tuesday December 10th

On Tuesday 10th December, all  2020 Year 9 students will attend Mooroopna Campus for a full day of classroom activities. On this day students will be allocated into Form groups for their core classes in 2020. 

On the night prior to the Orientation Day there will be an Information session for Parents and Students to be held at Westside, Mooroopna Secondary College from 6.30pm to 7.30pm (Monday December 9th).
