This event is presented by the St Mary's Bereavement Support Ministry.

Plenary Council

The future of the Catholic Church in Australia is the subject of a Plenary Council in 2020. The Australian Bishops have asked all Australians to give input to this Council by sharing your thoughts on this fundamental question: WHAT DO YOU THINK GOD IS ASKING OF US IN AUSTRALIA AT THIS TIME?

Your response to this question can be made as an individual through the Plenary Council 2020 website, or through a group of your own making (family, friends or interested people you know), or in a group as organised by St Mary’s Parish or your school.

A process has been developed to gather responses in small groups. Several members of St Mary's Parish have been trained in conducting Small Group Listening and Dialogue sessions where your thoughts can be gathered so that they may be forwarded to the Plenary Council, or just help you make your own submission via the Plenary Council website.

Please contact Brendan Shingles (0437 941 620) or Christine Sebire (through St Mary's Parish Office) if you, your family or your group are interested in running a Listening and Dialogue session to share your thoughts on this substantial question. Equally if you know someone outside our faith who has comments that you think might be valuable, please invite them to share their thoughts with someone within the parish, or again through the Council website.

This is a great opportunity to influence the direction of our Church in the near future, and help it better represent all aspects of our faith.
