Water Safety Program 2020

Our Reception-Year 5 students were scheduled to participate in the Department of Education Water Safety  Program at Noarlunga Leisure Centre in Week 1 (20/7-24/7) of Term 3.

Due to Covid-19, all swimming centres were closed and have now re-opened with restrictions to the general public, but not to schools. Due to this the Water Safety Program will be cancelled for this year.

Year 7 To High School

Primary and high schools are working hard to plan for the move of Yr 7 to high school in 2022. If your child is in Yr 5 or 6 this year, they will be graduating from primary school next year. Primary schools are thinking now about how to make your child's last year in primary school a positive experience.

High school planning is also in full swing to welcome Yr 7 and 8s together in 2022.

Primary and high schools are working together at every level to make the move a success for your child.

Stay engaged with your school to keep updated with the lastest information.

Emergency Clothing

If your child has been supplied with spare dress code items from our emergency supplies please return the clothing by Friday 3 July 2020. Please make sure the item has been washed and return in a clean bag with the student's name so that we can note the item(s) has been returned.

During the holidays if you are going through school dress code clothing and have any items that no longer fit or are required please consider donating them for emergency supplies or second hand items for the Dress Code Shop. Donations can be left at the Front Office.

Lost Property

Please check the Lost Property boxes located in each Teaching Unit for any property that may belong to your child/children.

It is recommended that all items brought to school eg hat, jumper, bag, etc are clearly labelled with your child's name so that they can be returned if found.

Head Lice

Please check your child's/children's hair regularly for any signs of head lice.  If lice or eggs are found please advise the school, and treat the child's hair with an appropriate head lice treatment.  Please check all family members hair. Students are not to return to school until all lice and eggs have been removed.

Parents must also sign a declaration stating their child has been treated.

Please advise staff in the Front Office when you have treated your child for head lice.

It is also necessary to wash any hats, including school hats and bedding that your child has been in contact with.

With your assistance of regularly checking your child's hair we can reduce the incidence of head lice at our school.
