For everything, there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven Ecclesiastes 3:1

For the last few weeks, this Bible verse has been a constant refrain in my head. With my recent resignation to take up a role in Victoria in 2021, I have reflected on my time at GGLPS. The staff will tell you that I am a strong believer that God places people where he wants them; whether it be staff, students or families. So it is with my time here – it has been a season and for a purpose under God. 

In the coming months, I will enter into a new season or purpose - as will GGLPS. There is a sense of nervousness and apprehension but it is an exciting time for me personally and also for the school. I truly believe that God has great plans for all parties.

There is a season for everything in God’s plan for us. The rest of this verse talks about (amongst a range of activities) a time.…to be born, to weep, to speak, to be happy….(I would encourage you to read the rest of this passage [Ecclesiastes 3] - it is quite interesting).

As a person of faith, I place my trust in God to bless the change in season and the purpose of changing the season will be revealed in due course. As mentioned in the Bible passage (and related above) there is a season for everything and we can thank God for the rhythm which is created. 

May God continue to bless the school over the coming weeks and months as the school transitions to a new principal. The season is changing and God will reveal his purpose for this in His time.
