Focaccia Art Master Pieces
Our students in Orchard to Plate this week were encouraged to make their own Focaccia's and turn them into a piece of art that could be shared and eaten with their family.
Here are some of their creative art works!
Recipe for HERB PIZZA!
INGREDIENTS
2 tsp dried yeast
1 tsp caster sugar
1 cup warm water
2 ½ cups of bread flour
1 tsp salt
½ cup of cheese
Herbs from the orchard
Olive oil
EQUIPMENT
Pizza tray
Baking paper
2 Small bowls
Large bowl
Measuring cups
Wooden spoon
Tea towel
PREPARE
Preheat the oven at 200 C
Line a pizza tray with baking paper
CREATE AND COOK
In a small bowl place the yeast, caster sugar and warm water, mix and let sit.
In a large bowl place flour, salt, mix
Pour the yeast mix into the flour and mix
Once it forms a ball and all the flour is mixed in pour out onto the bench
Kneed for a minute
Wash out large bowl, dry and line with oil
Place pizza mix back in the bowl and cover with a tea towel to rest
Take the herbs and break up into small pieces
Add these to the cheese.
Take the dough out and roll and pat it out into a round base.
Place it on the pizza tray.
Place the cheeses and herb mix on top of the dough
Place in oven for 10 to 15 minutes or golden brown
