Positive Behaviour for Learning

Caught being respectful, responsible and honest
Last week, these students were noticed for following our school wide expectations. What great role models for other Burkies!
Whole School Acknowledgement
On Friday last week, the whole school celebrated and acknowledged the wonderful choices students are making and meeting the expectations of our school. Students are given values cards and feedback about what they did regularly. Perhaps the feedback was thanks for following our expectations of wearing a hat in the playground or speaking politely. We filled our container and celebrated at lunchtime.
Students came out during eating time. When they had finished eating they could do Just Dance in the hall, play in handball competitions, build using big blocks, draw using chalk, use the scoops and balls, watch a movie in the library or play on the equipment as well as the usual things to do.
We will start filling our next container today to achieve another acknowledgement next term.
Positive Behaviour for Learning
This week, Term 2 Week 10, our focus in the playground is:
Top Playground - Keep your hands and feet to yourself
Middle Playground - Be polite
Bottom Playground - Speak politely and keep your hands to yourself
These expectations are displayed on sandwich boards in the three playgrounds for adults and students to view as reminders.
