As you will be aware, we are returning to remote learning during term 3. This means our Junior Concert will not be run in the usual way.
The plan is put on a “virtual concert” which will be accessed via the Learning Hub. If you would like your child to be a part of this opportunity, simply video your child performing their class dance and upload it to the Music google classroom or send it directly to my email: Rhiannon.Trimby@education.vic.gov.au
(Further information and costume/song details were emailed to all parents of Prep - Grade 3 students earlier this week).
I will be editing the videos together and these need to be sent no later than the 12th of August.
G.A.T.E.WAYS ONLINE PROGRAMS
Due to being unable to offer on location programs, G.A.T.E.WAYS have developed some online programs for gifted and highly able students. There are a variety of programs in English, Maths, Science, and Technology for each year level. These programs are parent enrolled, meaning that there is no need for a teacher to nominate a student. There is a cost of $60 per program and they run for two hours (plus a half hour break). Access to a laptop or computer with video camera and sound is required, as well as headphones and internet access.
If you think this might be something your student is interested in, please follow the link below for more information and/or to enrol your child. As students are now working remotely, you can select any day/time from the below list. Please make sure you ONLY select Wednesday OR Thursday and ONLY select AM OR PM as the programs are exactly the same.
Programs are 2 x 1 hour sessions. Online Compact programs run:
- Wednesday AM timeslot, 9.30am - 12.00pm
OR - Wednesday PM timeslot, 12.30pm - 3.00pm
OR - Thursday AM timeslot, 9.30am - 12.00pm
OR - Thursday PM timeslot, 12.30pm - 3.00pm
Please note, due to presenter availability, there are slight variations between the Wednesday and Thursday timetable.
WEEK 31: Wednesday 29 July OR Thursday 30 July OR
WEEK 32: Wednesday 5 August OR Thursday 6 August OR
WEEK 33: Wednesday 12 August OR Thursday 13 August
*The programs running are the same programs repeated in Weeks 31, 32 and 33*
