Bikes and Scooters

Term 1 is a wonderful opportunity for students to ride their bikes or scooters to school. With many families heading back to school after the summer break, our roads are busy and it is necessary to remind students of the importance of road rules and general etiquette when travelling to and from school. When riding either a scooter or bicycle, students should wear an approved helmet that is securely fastened below the chin. When using the footpath, students should be mindful of pedestrians, particularly primary aged children who walk to school, and must always be careful when moving across driveways. When riding bikes on the road, riders should keep left or use the bicycle lane where available. When arriving at school, students can use the Trinity entrance located on Hearn Street. The bike shed is opened at the beginning of each day for students to securely store their bikes or scooters and is locked again at 3:30pm. Should you have any queries regarding the expectations of students riding bikes or scooters to school, please contact the Director of Students.

Masks on buses

The Trinity College community is working hard to keep students safe in this current COVID climate, through regular sanitizing of desks, chairs and areas of high contact, keeping doors and windows open as much as possible and using air purifiers where ventilation is limited.

Masks must also be worn by students when travelling to and from school on a bus and While this directive may change in the near future, Trinity would appreciate if families can continue to support the school by regularly reminding students of these expectations.

Please also continue to utilise the Rapid Antigen Tests supplied by the government on a twice-weekly basis.

We ask that all students attending Retreats this week conduct a test on Wednesday morning prior to departing to help keep everyone safe.

Polo Tops

Anyone wanting to order Long Sleeve Polos can do so by visiting the uniform shop. We have limited supplies in stock, but will be placing an order for anyone else requiring them.

Lost Property

A reminder for students/families to check the lost property located at reception. We have gained a number of items since Year 7 Camp and the Swimming Sports. If you are missing something we may have it at reception.

Indonesian Fashion Parades

Pameran Mode Bahasa Indonesia Kelas 8A dan 8B sangat sukses!

Congratulations to 8A and 8B Indonesian for two outstanding ‘pameran mode’ (fashion parades)!

The classes each put on a very entertaining show reading aloud a description of their outfits and then walking the red carpet to show them off.

Well done everyone for putting yourselves out there and speaking Indonesian!

Selamat!

A huge congratulations to the year 8 Indonesian class who put on a fashion parade in lesson 3 in the Jubilee Centre today. It was a privilege to have been able to attend and watch the students on the catwalk dressed in their favourite clothes. I want to congratulate all of you for having the courage to get up and speak in front of guests and then parade on the red carpet. Also to you Mrs De Silva for allowing the students to step outside of their comfort zone and be a part of a great experience. Thanks for inviting me to your fashion parade, Kind regards Jayne McGlade
