National Young Leaders Day

On Wednesday, 23rd March, student leaders from year 12 were invited to attend the National Young Leaders Day conference. We got to experience and learn about the journeys of some of Australia’s most amazing and inspiring people. Starting off with the youngest person to ever fly solo in a single engine aircraft, Lachlan Smart spoke to us about his challenging but gratifying journey that began as a dream which then turned into something he is now recognised for and through this has broken many world records. Later, we listened to inspiring stores of Guy Edmonds a writer, director, actor, producer and author sharing his incredible life story, Damien Fleming, Australian national cricketer and commentator who shared his resilient moments from his successful cricket career and last but not least the Olympic swimmer, Cate Campbell spoke of her hardships which all ended in an extremely rewarding end. We were all thrilled and grateful for this opportunity to able to listen to all these motivational leaders who inspired and taught us all a new perspective on perseverance, determination and leadership.
