Important notices for rowers and parents
Shared Dinner – Bunbury Regatta
Due to rising case numbers within the community, we will be minimising our large gatherings and therefore, our annual shared dinner at Bunbury has been cancelled. As a rowing community, we can still enjoy the regatta, however, we will be doing our best to continue to keep group numbers down and prevent unnecessary mixing of year levels.
Regatta Availability
A link has been provided on the Team App. This link will be used for coaches to plan crews based on which rowers are available for each regatta. Could families please use the spreadsheet to indicate a simple 'yes’ or ‘no’ against their child’s name and the corresponding regatta. The closing date for each regatta will be 2 weeks prior.
Parent roster – Saturday morning BBQ’s
Many thanks to Mr Luke Bostelman who came down last Saturday to assist with the BBQ. We are lucky to have such great supportive staff at the College who are keen to get involved. I would also like to open this up to any parents who would also like to come down and assist between 7:30am – 9:00am. If you are available to help, please email me and a date can be organised.
Saturday Trainings
We have been trialing interest at the Year 10 level for Saturdays. This appears to be strong. I am seeking feedback from rowers and parents in the Years 10-12 cohorts. The suggestion moving forward in March will be the following:
- Week A – All Senior Rowers
- Week B – Year 10 Students (Males and Females)
This will alternate and allow greater recovery for each cohort. If you see this causing any significant issues, please call or email me. Communication will follow after feedback is provided.
