LEARN TO UMPIRE COURSES

We welcome new umpires to come along and attend our Learn to Umpires Courses in April, to assist in understanding the basics of the Netball Australia Rules and on the court umpiring.

Dates

Monday 25th April (Anzac Day Holiday), 4pm – 6pm

Wednesday 27th April, 6pm – 8pm

We understand that Anzac Day is a holiday, however we are running these courses close to the starting date of the Winter Competition so all new umpires will go into their games still fresh from attending these courses.

As we do have limited Mentors available, we will be capping the intake of new umpires at 30 for the 2022 season. If you would like to participate, please get your name in quickly. You are welcome and it is preferred that you attend both Learn to Umpire Courses, as the second course on the 27th April will include on-court umpiring with the SNA Squad Teams.

REFRESH YOUR RULES (for Experienced Umpires)

We are also offering to those more experienced (umpired 12 months or more), and Badged Umpires, an opportunity to come along and Refresh your Rules.

This course is also being held on Monday, 25th April commencing 6.30pm – 8.30pm.

It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that ALL Umpires are up to date with their rule knowledge.

ST. BRENDAN’S SOCCER CLUB

PLAYERS AS GV SUNS MASCOTS

On Saturday, 19th March around 20 budding young soccer players had the privilege of being Mascots for the GV Suns game here in Shepparton.

Our St. Brendan’s players were able to accompany the Senior team onto the pitch, have their photo taken and cheer them on during the game.

At half time, St. Brendan’s players then took to the pitch to participate in a ‘mini match’, where it was clear we have a couple of dominating players in our midst. It was an exciting opportunity for our players to witness a high level and fast paced match.

All the players and their families enjoyed the opportunity to gather together and get excited about the 2022 soccer season.

Hopefully, we might see some of our St. Brendan’s Soccer Club stars continue on and become senior level players in the coming years!
