K-6 Sport

Polding Swimming 

Good luck to Tayla Brabant and Fletcher Andrews who competing at the Polding Swimming Carnival in Homebush today. Fletcher is in the junior 50m Breaststroke and Tayla is in the Opens 50m Backstroke.

 

Diocesan Touch Trial Results

Congratulations to Darcy Oaks who was selected into the Armidale Diocesan Touch team. Darcy will now play in Port Macquarie at the Polding Carnival on Friday 1 April.

 

Primary Winter Trials

Good luck to the children travelling to the Diocesan Winter Trials on Friday to participate in Soccer, Netball, League and Hockey. Students are required to be at all fields by 9:00am to start at 9:30am. The day will conclude at approximately 2:00pm. THe children will be supervised by Diocesan Team Managers. Mrs Lea, Mrs Moore and Mr Baz will also be circulating at the venues throughout the day. Students should be in full school sports uniform – no Diocesan clothing is to be worn. The children need to bring a hat, water and a healthy lunch and snacks – there will be a canteen operating on the day in Armidale, but there will be limited canteen facilities Hockey in Tamworth. Students playing hockey will need their own stick, shin pads and mouth guards. It is suggested that League players wear headgear and must have mouth guards. All soccer players must have shin guards and are encouraged to have mouth guards. Venues for the day in Armidale are as follows: Netball - Sport UNE Netball courts, University of New England Sport UNE Drive, Armidale; Soccer - Sport UNE Soccer fields, University of New England Sport UNE Drive, Armidale; League - Sport UNE Soccer fields, University of New England Sport UNE Drive, Armidale; and Hockey - Tamworth Hockey Turfs, 7 Jack Smyth Drive, Tamworth

 

Primary Sport  

There are only 2 more weeks of sport rotations for Year 3-6. They have had the opportunity to attend sessions externally at various centres around the town. Please pay any outstanding money to the school before the end of term. This week 6S will go to King Fit, 3D Ten Pin and 4G will go to the Indoor Sports Centre. In Week 10 6T will go to King Fit, 3G Ten Pin and 5B will go to the Indoor Sports Centre. All Year 2-6 students will compete in the school cross country on Friday 8 April in Week 11.

Sport for week 9 and 10 will be House Novelties and team games, students are reminded to bring their hat, water bottles and house spirit. 

 

U15’s Diocesan Rugby League Ballina

Congratulations to Lawson Walsh who attended the Combined U15 Lismore/Armidale Diocesan Rugby League trial last week.

 

Alan Tongue 10’s Rugby League

Good luck to the U14’s and U16’s Rugby league players attending the Rugby League 10’s Gala day this Thursday.

 

Diocesan Touch Trials

Well done to all players who attended the Diocesan Touch trials in Inverell during week 7. Congratulations to Kelsey Pagden, Makaidi Mair, Makayde Goldman and Lawson Walsh who were selected in the 15’s boys and girls Armidale Diocesan teams to go the NSWCCC Touch Championships next week in Nelson Bay.

 

Secondary Cross Country

The Year 7-10 cross country will be on Thursday Week 11 during sport. It will be held at the Lake Inverell Off Road Recreational Circuit.
