PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Mrs Jillian Rainger
Thank you to our school community for their generosity with the Lismore Flood Appeal. We raised $2794.45. This is amazing!
Congratulations to Year 10 and Year 7 for their participation in the Christian Living Days last Monday and Tuesday. Thanks to Mrs Guest and supporting staff and the Lasallian team who ran the days
To Lawson Walsh (Year 9) who trialled at the Northern Schools Rugby League in Ballina last week. Thanks to Mr Koch who is integral to school boy rugby league in the northern region of the state
To Year 6T and Stage 3 students for their reverence and enthusiam for the first Primary Mass in the church for some time. The students did a great job and it was wonderful to have families with us for this liturgy.
Family Conferences
Our K-6 and Year 7 and 8 Family Conferences are being held this week. Thank you all involved for making the time to meet to discuss the progress of our students. The partnership between school and home is extremely important. Year 9 and 10 conferences will be held next week
P and F Welcome Back Picnic
Families are invited to come to school on Friday 1 April from 5:30 to 7:00pm for a picnic to connect with other families after such a long time being unable to come onto school grounds. Please read the P and F section of the newsletter for more details.
Help covering new books
We have an amazing range of new and stimulating literacy resources that we are keen to have the children use, so we will be having a working bee to cover the new readers, picture books and chapter books. I have sourced bubble free contact to make the task a lot easier!
If you can lend a hand on Wednesday or Friday between 2pm and 3pm, your help would be greatly appreciated. Please sign in at the office and we will meet in the library. A volunteer Working With Children Check approval and COVID immunisation record will need to be sighted as you sign in.
Looking forward to meeting you there,
Mrs Cathy Koch
Students in K-10 are reviewing the expectations of our three Rules for Living over the coming weeks and through this they will formulate what these rules look like, sound like and feel like in their classrooms. This Armidale Diocesan poster will be used as an outline for discussion amongst the students.
Families and visitors no longer need to sign in using the QR code, however, we do need to continue with our normal sign-in procedures during the school day. Please remember to:
Sign in at the Front Office Compass Kiosk if you are going further into the school grounds than the Front Office eg: canteen volunteer, reading volunteer, meeting with a staff member outside the Front Office.
Sign your name on the Alinta Sheet in the Front Office if you are going to the Uniform Shop so we know who is on our school site.
If you wish to volunteer at school please remember you need to present your WWCC (Volunteer) to the Front Office and be double vaccinated.
School events that families are invited will have clear guidelines in what is required in relation to the need to sign in etc.
Term 1 fees are due this Friday 25 March. We sent the invoice early in the term and then a follow up statement about two weeks ago. Please check your spam or junk files as we have had a few families report that they did not receive these emails but found them in their spam. If you cannot find your invoice please contact the school to speak with Mrs Dee Delaney or email her on ddelaney@arm.catholic.edu.au to get a copy.
Please remember to give consent or decline consent via Compass to have your child's image used in our publications.
