School & Community Partnerships
ATTENTION ALL PARENTS/CARERS
Please take just a few minutes to complete the online RPS Parents’ Skills Survey.
The Skills Survey has been developed in order to help us identify parents/carers who may have expertise or interests in certain areas that could improve or invigorate opportunities for learning at RPS. We are also interested in understanding and supporting local family businesses in our school community.
There is no obligation to commit to any activity at the school. As always, your level of involvement is determined by you, based on your time constraints, availability and personal interest/skills.
We need your responses ... it’s only a few minutes of your time ... thank you:

School Wide Positive Behaviour Support Framework
PARENT INFORMATION SESSION
Thank you to all the parents who attended the information session on Monday night, delivered by Anthony King from DET.
It was very informative and provided a great overview of Ripponlea Primary’s approach to reducing problem behaviour, improving school culture, and increasing academic performance.
Anthony provided us with practical tips on how to use the strategies at home and how to create your family’s own “expected behaviour matrix”.
Notes from the session are available in the Principal's message of this Newsletter and will also appear on Compass under Community > School Documentation > Education/Parent Info Sessions.
PRODUCTIVE GARDEN - WE NEED YOUR HELP
We are excited to announce that Ben Shewry and the team at Attica have very kindly offered to help us plant out our productive garden ... but here’s the thing ... the garden will NOT survive unless we have a commitment from a group of parents to help us maintain it for the remainder of the school year!
Is this job right for you?
Time commitment: 1-2 hours/week for the remainder of the year (could be a shared commitment)
Role: guide groups of students to maintain the garden – planting, weeding, feeding and harvesting the
goodies
Experience: basic knowledge of garden maintenance and an interest in working with the students to foster a love of gardening
