Out of School Hours Care

What a fantastic term we have had in OSHC! The children have been engaging in many activities throughout the term including Kelly Sports, and Move it Fitness and Wellbeing. The children have also been cooking, playing in the sandpit, making art and craft, playing games in the gym and playing lots of games outside. 

Even though the weather has been quite cold, we encourage all our OSHC children to put their jackets on and play outside participating in sports on the oval and inquiry play throughout the garden. We find this is important for children’s healthy development. Playing outside gives our OSHC children the opportunity to explore the natural environment. We find that when children are outside they have more space and freedom for big movements such as running, jumping, kicking, throwing, chasing and playground games. The children really enjoy these unstructured activities.

We also provide flexible indoor activities for children to engage in such as art and craft, painting, box construction, board games, puzzles, dress ups and mobilo. All these activities help develop children’s intellectual, emotional and social development.

We would like to thank all of our existing families and new families who have joined us this term. We look forward to seeing you all next term.
