Musical Notes

The boys entertain the large crowd at Primary Arts Night

Musical Notes

We have seen a very successful Term 2, with highlights such as Generations in Jazz, Music Soiree and Primary Arts Night. We look forward to an action packed Term 3 and many performance opportunities for our students.

Primary Arts Night

A big congratulations to all students involved in Primary Arts Night. The evening was a wonderful showcase of talent across the Primary School including full involvement in the opening and finale items, class items, ensemble items, co-curricular items and soloists. I would like to congratulate and thank all staff involved for making the evening run so smoothly and particularly special thanks to Mrs Libby Hunter for coordinating the event, Mrs Emily Kenny for the display of all of the Art work and Mrs Claire Holland who wrote out the script for the evening.

Senior Drama Production

On Wednesday 1 August and Thursday 2 August the Stage 2 Drama students will be performing in the Senior Drama Production “AHXFI” in the Fr James O’Doherty Performing Arts Theatre. We look forward to seeing our community coming to watch our talented students and support the event. A link will be made available on the school’s Facebook and Website pages to purchase tickets.

Middle Years Showcase / Music Information Evening

On Monday 6 August there will be a presentation at 6.30pm for new and continuing students interested in or undertaking Music. The session will take place in the Fr James O’Doherty Performing Arts Centre and will be an opportunity to highlight the neuroscience and the benefits of learning an instrument, subject offerings, co-curricular opportunities and scholarship information.

Congratulations to Stage Band 1 and the Senior Vocal Group who were successful in their recent auditions for the Catholic School’s Music Festival to perform as support acts.
