House shirts and hats
Our first order of house shirts and hats was delivered and distributed last week, thank you to our two parent helpers who helped make this possible. To strengthen our new House system we invite students to wear their House colour T-shirt every Friday. House t-shirts and hats can also be worn on sports days and special house event days.
If you have miss the opportunity to order your child's T-shirt and hat, please do not worry as we will be placing another order at the end of May 2018. We look forward to seeing our students displaying their new house t-shirts with pride.
Football tackling
There have been reports of tackling misbehaviour on the oval in relation to football; AFL, soccer, rugby. At school, there is a no tackling rule due to the levels of football experiences of students and lack of official umpires during play. Can families please support the school in extending this safety message to their children?
A message from Artistic Flair
As part of the senior student's investigation into the art form of Steampunk, Ms Serina Wells is on the hunt for the following items that may be laying around at home:

- foam filter cylinders
- Rivets
- Gears and cogs
- small wooden circles, long shavings
- Leather pieces
- patterned cardboard
- coils

Also Grade 5 and 6 students have the opportunity to win an Xbox this Term as well, through Metro's Rail Safety Week Competition.
Entries need to be submitted by 22nd June to Ms Wells with students name, class and school labelled clearly on the back of their artwork.
Students can work on their pieces at home or Creative Club Tuesday Lunchtimes in the Artistic Flair room.
Good Luck Grade 5 and 6 students.
