What makes us special?
Message from a community member:
I have just left the school after a meeting with Monique Corcoran.
I have come away from that time, with such admiration for the display of leadership that radiated care, concern, compassion and honesty.
I am so thankful to know that there is a school community like CSPS we can connect to; where my student is not only educated, but holistically supported and cared for.
Unicorn Poo
What an absolute delight sharing in the Birthday celebrations of one of our Foundation students. The cupcakes reminded myself and the students what unicorn poo would look like. Let's celebrate each and everyday like a birthday with Unicorn poo cupcakes. Monique Corcoran
Embrace Rules
To move from Great to Excellent, we commit to four areas as students, staff and community. We have high expectations on everyone so CSPS is a happy, productive and thriving place of learning.
We ask families to emphasis the Embrace Rules to ensure a consistent approach between school and home.
We respect school property.
We stay in the learning space at school.
We behave in a friendly manner.
We keep our hands and feet to ourselves.
Be assured that consequences of detention and internal/external suspension are followed through.
Note: there are times where "reasonable adjustments" are implemented in accordance with individual student needs and/or DET requirements.
CSPS forum
A CSPS extraordinary School Council Meeting was held last week to ascertain our next steps. In summary, it was agreed that we will conduct a forum specific to CSPS; the details are as follows:
Date: Monday, 30 April
Time: 6.30 – 7.30pm
Location: Cranbourne South Primary School, new Multi Purpose Room (corner of Browns/Pearcedale Rd)
The CSPS Community Forum will chaired by the Principal and School Council President, with additional DET representation. There will be specific agenda items and time allocation for discussion and questions. If you are wishing to attend, please return the slip below by Friday, 27 April.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the office to arrange a time to talk with the Principal or speak with any member of the School Council.
Good News story
I wanted the school to be aware of the amazing efforts and thoughtfulness of 3 Cranbourne South students. Lillie H. from 2a had a beautiful idea that she wanted to raise money for a children's hospital by making and selling home-made lemonade. She told me her idea and I thought it was so selfless. I suggested because of the time of year that she could raise funds for The Good Friday Appeal. She then told her idea to Zetske S.(2a) and Gracie H. (Fb) who wanted to help too. The girls made lemonade together and then set up a stall this afternoon for 2 hours. With the help of social media and community support, the girls very impressively raised $199.75 for The Good Friday Appeal. I thought the school would like to know the girls' achievements - I'm so proud of them all but particularly Lillie for having the idea and making it all happen. From Clare H. - Lillie & Gracie's mum
