School Immunisations

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Every year the council run the immunisation programme for Year 7 and 10 students.

The Year 7 students will have completed a consent card in their enrolment pack, permitting them to have two doses of vaccine throughout this year. If you did not receive your consent card, or enrolled later in the year, copies can be collected from the front office once learning resumes on-site. 

Normally the two doses would be administered in the same year. This is not able to happen this year. The first dose will be later this year, and the second dose will be given early next year, as six months is required between the two doses being administered.

If you are concerned about the Year 7 vaccination schedule carrying into next year, or wish to get your child administered sooner, please see your GP who can provide this service for you.

Year 10 vaccinations will hopefully proceed as normal, later this year. Consent cards and more information will follow. 

Please remember, if you have any vaccination outside of the schools immunisation programme, a copy of the immunisation certificate is required for our records.
