Visual Arts this week

We've had a lovely week back in the Art Room! It has been so wonderful to have all students back on site.

Foundation/1 students have continued their work with colour theory and line design and have created some amazing art works soon to be on display in the corridor of C block.

2/3 students have also been working with colour theory. Last term, we mixed primary colour paints to create secondary colours. This week, we used our creations to make some pretty amazing collages. They are currently on display in the Art room and have added brightness and character to our learning space!

During remote learning time, the 4/5/6s created some beautiful self-portraits using the work of Frida Kahlo as inspiration. This week we framed some of these stunning portraits and they are now on display in the office area and look amazing!

A big thank you to all the students of NPS who worked so diligently during remote learning: your enthusiasm and dedication to your studies was wonderful!

Next term, Art Club will be held every Wednesday lunchtime. This will be a time for finishing off work, creating new pieces or enjoying some 'art play'. The Art Captains and I will meet next week to get organised, so if you have any ideas of activities you would like to do in this time, speak to Josh, Keiva or Sebastian or come and find me on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.
