What you create does not have to be perfect - it just has to BE.

A gentle reminder as we go back into lockdown to keep creating!

Constructing a good time

I have planned a bunch of great activities for you to do at home this term. Last lockdown we did a lot of drawing activities - this time I've planned more construction (building stuff!) So to give yourself a head start, start gathering materials - clean cardboard/plastic food packaging, plastic bottle lids, paper, string, masking tape and whatever else you like the look of.

Flamingo at Sunrise

"Flamingo at Sunrise" was the last activity done by the Year 3/4's before the end of term 2. I made a video tutorial in Google Classroom and the children worked independently in the classroom. Everyone produced a vibrant and interesting artwork!

Mouth Watering Paper

In the last week of term 2, the Year 5/6's practiced some paper manipulating techniques, then used these skills to create  a 3D paper sculpture of a hamburger. They had only 1 lesson to complete their work. I was very proud of the results :)

Is That A Playground?

In the last few weeks of term 2, the Year 1/2 students were experimenting with different paper folding techniques. Their inquiry question was "how many ways can you change a paper strip to make it 3D?" They were given coloured strips of card and began folding, twisting, curling, cutting and scrunching to make an abstract sculpture.

What do they look like? A playground? A rollercoaster? Each sculpture looks great on it's own - but altogether they make a wonderful mess of colour!
