The vast majority of students have returned to the College over the past few weeks. Classes continue as normal with all staff trying to catch up on the time lost due to the COVID-19 disruption. All Trades classes are on track to complete our normal semester one schedule at the College.
Work Experience and Engagement in Your Community - Those who are at Home
Before you read on - Disclaimer - this is not formal authorised school approved work placements.
My intent is to keep you, as a social being, engaged and happy.
So if you’re at a loose end, be proactive in making contact with businesses and places that interest you. Try to seek a part time job or volunteer your time if the social distancing protocols can be followed. Work on improving your life skills or perhaps just the fulfillment of helping someone else out.
If there are any questions in regards to your son/daughters' progress or the courses on offer, please do not hesitate to contact me at the College.
Online/Connect
Students who are still at home can log on to Connect and complete the set work and if any clarification is sought, email your teacher.
The pictures we received from the students whilst working at home have been really uplifting to see young adults going about their tasks. I also think parents would be happy that their DIY list is getting smaller and smaller.
We are all having to face new methods of completing our normal duties so hang in there and communicate with your teachers.
Back to Work
We welcomed students back into Trades over the last couple of weeks and they have well and truly got back into their work.
