National Careers Week

TERM 2 is a very busy time for Career Events - with information sessions, expos and campus activities galore.  There are a range of options aimed at Year 10 to 12 students, as well as sessions to support parents and carers.  Information will be shared periodically via the newsletter and Direqt Message.

 

Next Week is National Careers Week.  Students will receive information and resources via the Daily Bulletin and Direqt Message at the College.  The week culminates with the Careers Expo at the Convention Centre,  20– 21 May Careers Expo – Convention Centre – 10am to 4pmwhich is well worth a visit. This is the biggest career event of the year in WA. People from industry, education and training providers will be there to give information about their business.

Career conversations for families

The Department of Education gives advice on how families can approach the issue of careers.  Free, easily accessible support that helps families to work through career ideas with their students. You can register for one or more of the events HERE. 

 

Hear about:

  • exploring university and training pathways 
  • career pathway information for young people with disabilities 
  • where to find accurate, up-to-date career pathway information 
  • where the jobs are 
  • what employers and industry are looking for.

Norbert Careers Website

All St Norbert College students have access to the Norbert Careers website which is rich with information and resources.  Parents can view the public site at www.norbertcareers.com

Students also have a special log-in which enables them to complete a series of career activities and exploration.  Anyone who is unsure of how to access this information can contact Mrs Gonsalves via karen.gonsalves@norbert.wa.edu.au
