Easter Bonnet parade

Thankyou to all of those students and families that joined in for our Pyjama Day and Easter Bonnet Parade. We were able to raise $290 to be donated to the Royal Children's Hospital to assist children in need.

National Walk to School Day- Friday 19th May

Well it’s that time of year again when our school seriously starts talking about walking!

When - Friday, 19 May

Where - Botanic Ridge Boulevard Reserve (off Station Creek Way)

Time - From 8:30am (last group leaving Botanic Ridge Boulevard at 8:50am)

Special instructions:

  • Permission to attend MUST be given via the Compass event as this event is occurring outside of school grounds/hours.
  • Please ensure students are ‘signed in’ upon arrival at the Botanic Ridge Boulevard Reserve with a CSPS staff member.
  • All CSPS staff members will depart Botanic Ridge Boulevard at 8:50am.
  • To continue the healthy habits once they arrive at school, students are also invited to attend the Breakfast Club from 8:30am for a healthy breakfast with some tasty fruit and breakfast snacks.

You can teach your child the healthy habit of walking more by:

  • Walking with them the whole way to school
  • If they get the bus or train, walk past your usual stop and get on at the next stop
  • If you have to drive, park the car a few blocks away from the school and walk the rest of the way.

Regular exercise like walking with your child not only helps them (and you!) beat chronic problems like obesity, heart disease, behavioural and mental health issues and diabetes. It also gives you a great opportunity to teach your child safe ways to behave around roads and traffic.
