ICT @ CSPS

We are so lucky to be able to have a Google Studio for students to visit to practice their ICT skills each week. It is important that we ensure students are taking good care of this learning space. 

Here are some tips to speak to your child about to ensure they are following our Google Studio expectations each week: 

• We use ICT equipment correctly 
• We use the Google Studio for educational purposes
• We work towards our ICT digital license goals 
• We use the equipment safely
• We ask questions if we do not know the functions of the device.
• We use appropriate apps and websites
• We leave the learning space in a clean and tidy manner

Education Week is an annual celebration of education in Victoria. This year Victoria will celebrate Education Week from Sunday 14 May to Saturday 20 May. The theme this year is 'Active Learners: Move, Make, Motivate’, which celebrates physical activity, hands-on learning and student voice in education.

CSPS will be celebrating Education Week in Week 9 Term 2, 20th to 23rd June. During this week, the school community will participate in a variety of activities including the grand opening of the Murrup Building.  Stay tuned for more details.

Music in schools: DUET Program

CSPS has been selected to be part of the Music in Schools (MiS) teacher professional learning program for 2023-24. 

This term students will be participating in music lessons during Artistic Flair and some Year 4 students may also have additional musical components implemented in their classroom. 

CSPS has been assigned a music mentor (Mary) from The Song Room who will visit CSPS to teach some music classes and support two of our teachers to implement quality programs. 

Music in Schools also includes a grant which will allow CSPS to purchase more music equipment.  Hopefully your children will have lots to tell you about beat and rhythm in the next few weeks and maybe even sing you a tune or two!
