Building and Grounds News

It is with excitement that Mr Corcoran took down the orange flags this week from the grass areas at the top of the property, adjacent to the General Store.  The grass is still growing in this area and we will continue to look after it.

A lot of fabulous art work has been erected in the school environment. The art looks terrific and adds bright colours and joy to our yard.   Thanks to Mrs Danger and Ms Forbes for their help with these artworks.

The school looks fantastic with the new art works, new goal posts and updated yard. Unfortunately on weekends, some people continue to misuse the premises and cause damage. Our shade shail over the playground has again been sent off for repairs due to community youth sitting on them or riding their bikes on top of the structure.  We ask for the CSPS community to raise this concern with their children and keep a watch as we want to keep the yard looking the way it does.

Kiss N Go procedures

Thank you to the community members who are using the Kiss N Go and following safety guidelines.  The Kiss and Go guidelines are to keep all users safe.

Please refrain from overtaking a vehicle when using the Kiss N Go, as it can endanger the safety of others.

BARR (Bush Fire At Risk Register)

Gutter guards were installed during the term break to increase fire safety ie. foliage collecting in drains and increasing combustion.

Please Be Community Minded

I am a local resident to your school, I live on Botanic Ridge Boulevard.

Every afternoon the parents at the school park and line most of our street out the front of our homes. Normally this is not an issue, however today I have gotten home to a car half-parked across our driveway.  This is not the first instance of this occurring  (there have been times where it is completely parked across therefore totally blocked).

I understand that parents need to pick their children up from school, but as I am sure you can appreciate, it’s becoming increasingly frustrating for us who are just trying to get home and access our own property.

Thank you community member X for your feedback.  I am sure that members of the CSPS family will be more considerate of parking and the manner in which it impacts everyone.

Any adult who parks illegally does so at their own risk.  Parking inspectors are known to visit schools and their surrounds where community feedback has been received.
